Licensed Behavior Specialist - LBS

Connect Plus Therapy is an established Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) agency, and an ACE provider with BHCOE accreditation that is looking for talented, part-time Licensed Behavior Specialists (LBS).

The LBS will serve as the main point of contact for Behavior Technicians and client families living in the Philadelphia area.

This role will require you to oversee the quality of implementation of clinical programming to his or her assigned cases, as well as contribute to our larger clinical systems and processes.

This position is a combination of working via telehealth and in person at our center, in-homes, or in the community. The LBS must be comfortable with working in all settings.

You must possess exceptional communication skills both verbal and written and must exude professionalism in all interactions as a representative of Connect Plus Therapy.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assess levels of functioning through specific standardized assessments as well as Functional Behavioral Assessments and Functional Analyses.
  • Develop meaningful and detailed assessments, treatment goals and programming to address the needs of each client.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to staff while overseeing the implementation of programs with clients.
  • Develop and monitor data collection for all programs.
  • Conduct Parent Training on specific treatment goals that are meaningful to the family.
  • Respond to parental concerns regarding programming and/or staffing issues by investigating, gathering information, and reporting to the assigned Clinical Supervisor for resolution.
  • Assist in the identification of best staffing for authorized services for client needs.
  • Have flexible hours to be responsive to client needs.
  • Communicate with the Clinical Supervisor and Clinical Director on a regular basis and through monthly supervision meetings.

Skills & Competencies

  • Proficient in the use of various computer programs including Microsoft Office, Google Suite and data collection programs specific to our industry.
  • Confident communication skills for fielding calls on behalf of the agency and its representatives.
  • Excellent written communication skills for professional emails and various reporting methods.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to block, move or lift a child up to 60lbs of weight and keep them safe in the process.
  • Ability to climb stairs while supporting/shadowing an individual to teach this behavior and ensure their safety.
  • Ability to model and teach daily living skills.
  • Ability to meet/work with clients at various locations including but not limited to their homes (primary location), schools, etc.

Education & Experience

  • Must be a Licensed Behavior Specialist.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in psychology, special education, applied behavior analysis, or related field.
  • 1 year of experience creating programs utilizing the principles of applied behavior analysis.
  • 2 years of experience working with individuals diagnosed with Autism.
